Hello all,This past week my significant other (I think the kids are calling it Boo Thang these days) has been out of town. She’s vaccinated and visiting her family. I wasn’t able to go because I needed to stay nearby for my work and I’m taking care of our pets. So this week it’s just been one cat, one doggo, and one human in the house. On paper this sounds relatively easy for any competent human. The cat and the doggo are each on their own floor of the house, both really love attention, so I’ve been just alternating between the two to show them each some love. Things were going swimmingly until last night.I was getting ready for bed when suddenly the first storm of the year hit. I found myself in an orchestra of thunder, lightning, whining, and meowing. The string section of the doggo’s whines, the brass section of the cat’s meows and the percussion of the thunder made for interesting theater and an odd music event. Then out of nowhere, almost oddly coordinated, the cat and the doggo decided that it was just a storm and they had made entirely too much fuss about it and both went to sleep, leaving me wide awake wondering what had just happened. The upside to this is that I was greeted this morning by both animals as if I alone had stopped the storm/had scored the winning goal to secure the World Cup for their country. All of this is a long-winded way say that I had planned to do a Martinelli drawing from yesterday’s match, but was entirely too tired this morning to do so.Below are this week's drawings, Poorly
