I will give both our boys and our girls that they have a lot of grit. Both our teams dealing with significant injuries (Saliba, my man, can I lend you a back? A kidney? Whatever it takes at this point.). At some point soon I’m worried our women won’t be able to field a team unless we just bring all the Academy kids up. 😬 The two things that made me smile this weekend were Spurs’ absolute collapse, and Katie McCabe just ready to fight anyone who got in her way (or mowed Lia Wälti down yet again) during the UWCL match vs Wolfsburg. Inject Katie’s energy into my veins during this week in which we have to play City: https://twitter.com/awfclips/status/1650160888022806528?s=46&t=QW0kkBbS0ulnHk-ctLb6Ow
Katie is every Gooner — when you come for Lia Wälti be prepared to suffer the consequences (looking at you Lena Oberdorf). I swear the ref in that match forgot they had cards they could hand out until this moment happened. Oberdorf had taken Lia out multiple times with zero consequence until this play that set Katie over the edge.
I woke up Friday with a minor sore throat, and felt worse later on. The draw didn’t help much. Felt worse all weekend long until Sunday morning when I turned on the TV and saw the Toon/Spuds score. I thought it was another symptom, but no and minutes later I witnessed the sixth goal go in. I instantly felt better. They do say laughter is the best medicine. So thanks Spuds for that, I feel better. Actual meds also helped.
Thanks! I should be back to full strength by then, as the meds are doing the business to said infection like the Newcastle beatdown. Gonna need all of our combined Gooner mojo to send to our boys as they battle that gigantic Norseman, and the rest of City’s goons. 🙏🏻💪🏼🔴⚪️
It was 3-3! I originally wrote 2-2 because I'm losing my mind.
spurs losing that badly helped me get over the feelings from our game a little bit!!
Me too!
