Poorly Curated Arsenal Emails - Issue #6
Frustrating game this weekend. I'm finding it hard to sit down and find anything constructive to write about it. It was just one of those games where you create chances, don't capitalize on those chances, and then lose by shooting yourself in your foot. The shot in the foot being that Xhaka passed the ball to a Burnley player at such a speed that the player had no choice but to put it in the net.
The handball incident was frustrating mainly because I would just like to see some consistency, which of course is hard because ultimately referees are human and humans are prone to errors. And VAR, which is advertised as an all-seeing and knowing oracle, is ultimately just a referee sitting at a screen making a decision. Doesn't make it any less frustrating, but I think it's the way that I cope with it. Humans make errors; referees are humans. I just wish they would stop making errors against Arsenal.
Anywho, this week's drawings are below.
