Poorly Curated Arsenal Emails - Issue #4
Well, it wasn't the best week for Arsenal. I'm not too worried about the second leg with Benfica. Benfica didn't look overly threatening in the first leg and we created a lot of chances, but just didn't take advantage of most of them. Plus, the second leg takes place at home at our fortress *checks notes* in Greece, where we have never lost a home game. Or played a home game at.
Covid's effects on the game are weird. The weirdest being that a team from Portugal and a team from London have to play a match in Italy and a match in Greece and call them each home games for the respective teams. Then on top of that throw in the fact that the away goal rule is still in play and it's all just rather funny. There's probably a fine balance between finding this all funny and losing your sanity.
Anyway, I'm running a fundraiser in the shop this week. Any money made from the shop until Friday will be donated to community fridges around the world providing food to help those families that might not be able to afford groceries right now. In 48 hours we have raised 280 dollars/pounds. Plus, on top of that Arseblog has said he would match whatever was raised. Good guy.
Below are this week's drawings.
